Tonight, the 18th edition of the Dvořák Prague International Music Festival opens with a festive concert by the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Alain Altinoglu, featuring the world-renowned cellist Gautier Capuçon. Each year, the festival presents seven thematic series at its core. This year, two exciting new additions enrich the program. The No Tie series combines an informal atmosphere with top artistic quality, while the special project Tribute to Schumann celebrates Robert and Clara Schumann — a couple whose musical, literary, and intellectual legacy shaped the very foundations of 19th-century Romanticism.
