We at Glatzova & Co. were thrilled to have been able to collaborate with Artisan, one of the most reputable auction houses in Slovakia, in organizing a charitable auction showcasing a selection of contemporary Ukrainian art, generously donated by Mr. Maksym Melnyk. The art featured in the auction explored the traditional historic roots of Ukrainian identity and its many contemporary facets, things which appealed to the Slovak audience. The auction took place on October 6, 2022, and we are pleased to report that it was a great success, with considerable sums being paid for the paintings. We raised in total over EUR 50,000, which was used to support Ukrainian children affected by the war, receiving treatment in hospitals both within Ukraine and abroad. This generous contribution will make a significant impact on the lives and well-being of these young patients, and we are grateful to everyone who participated and made it possible. Further, we are organizing a similar auction in Prague under the patronage of our law firm. We plan to organize other auctions in London, Vienna, and Paris by the end of the year.
