Karel Komárek wins another dispute with David Beran with the help of Glatzova & Co.
Vít Horáček and Lukáš Nývlt from the law office Glatzova & Co. advised Karel Komárek in his most recent victory in the arbitration before the ICC arbitration court. David Beran is required to pay Karel Komárek a contractual penalty plus interest and all expenses connected with the arbitration, amounting to 1.7 billion CZK.
The International Court of Arbitration, International Chamber of Commerce in Paris decided on another dispute regarding shares of VÍTKOVICE HOLDING, on which the attorneys from Glatzova & Co. advised. The court decided in favour of KKCG Industry, fully recognizing its claim for a 45% share of VÍTKOVICE HOLDING. Simultaneously, the court demanded that David Beran pay a contractual penalty to Karel Komárek for breaching the existing contracts. David Beran is required to pay Karel Komárek 1,182,500,000 CZK plus interest on arrears and all expenses connected with the arbitration, amounting to 1.7 billion CZK. The court also rejected David Beran‘s demand that Karel Komárek pay him 2,182,500,000 CZK.
